Our School Uniform |
School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of a school and setting an appropriate tone. Most schools in England have a school uniform or dress code, and other rules on appearance. DFE strongly encourages schools to have uniform as it can instill pride; support positive behaviour and discipline; encourage identity with, and support for, school ethos; ensure pupils of all races and background feel welcome; protect children from social pressures to dress in a particular way; and nurture cohesion and promote relations between different groups of pupils. Above all, Castle School believes that school uniform supports effective teaching and learning. Please click the following link for our uniform policy.
Uniform support We understand that the cost of uniform can at times be an added pressure especially during this time. Uniform shirts, skirts, jumpers and trousers can be purchased from supermarkets and do not need to be branded merchandise. The jumpers do not need to have the school emblem.
We have a stock of good quality used uniform, if anyone requires this please contact Mrs Cotton or Miss Watson and it this will be treated with discretion.
Badges and ties are available from school.
